Jonathan G. Clay has represented client interests before the California Legislature for over ten years and is the lead lobbyist and partner for the Carpi & Clay Sacramento office. Jonathan works with the legislature, administration and various state agencies advocating for our clients interests.

Prior to joining Carpi & Clay he was appointed by Governor Pete Wilson to advise Robert Frazee, a member of the California Integrated Waste Management Board. Jonathan has also worked as a research consultant for various business groups in San Diego, CA developing community profiles, market research, and building data.

Jonathan is a member of the Davis Rotary Club, is a Paul Harris Fellow and received an MBA from San Diego State University and a BA from University of California, Davis.

Erin Gilbert has worked in the legislative arena for seven years with capitol and district office experience, as well as advocating for clients before the California Legislature. Erin analyzes and tracks newly introduced and amended legislation for all of our clients. Prior to Carpi & Clay, Erin worked as a legislative aide to an Assemblyman specializing in agriculture and rural issues, coordinating press conferences, town hall meetings, and managing his schedule.

Erin was recently honored as the Alumni of the Year from Saint Mary’s College of California and holds a MA from California State University, Sacramento and a BA from Saint Mary’s College of California. She is also a Paul Harris Fellow.
